Dec 21, 2000 · Actually, there exists a possibility of a future 757-400. More likely, the aircraft will simply be yet another 757 derivative. The aircraft I speak of is currently called the "757-200ERX" by Boeing. The aircraft will still be the same size as the 757-200, carrying 192 pax in 2-class config, but there would be improvements.
Do pilots with a 757/767 rating really fly all of the variants?

The PW2037 and PW2040 may have more thrust than the RB211-535C and -535E4 and burn less fuel than RR engines, but I recall that the RB211-535 Series has one significant advantage over the PW2000: Higher on wing time and thus, lower maintenance costs, which offsets the cost of the higher fuel burn.
