Jan 5, 2008 · Good 7.62 x 54R brass is readily available in the US; I have 50+ mixed once- or twice-fired Winchester (made by Sellier & Bellot) and S&B brass I'll be happy to pass on to you anywhere in the US for the cost of postage - but I WON'T try to send it to Canada or elsewhere outside the US, due to our weird export rules.

Nov 7, 2012 · I was wondering if anyone has a source for load data for 7.62x54r with a 155gr. cast bullet with a gascheck. looking to load for my 91/30, have everything but powder because I'm not sure what to use yet.

Oct 26, 2011 · 7.62 x 54R 1st loads I have some 311466 lyman gas checked boolits and using new brass cases I settled on 12.4 grs of Unique and with the 311291 same powder type & charge. do up 10 each and then 10 each using 2400 311466 boolit 23.5 & 311291 22. 0 grs was going to use 23.5 in both but thats just under max with the 311291 boolit.

Sep 18, 2014 · 7.62 x 54R and 2400 I picked up several; old cast bullet manuals and was surprised to see 2400 listed for loads in 7.62x54r. I am sure the data is accurate, but it just seems "off" to me.

Nov 8, 2015 · Be careful of .308 Win load data in military 7.62 x 51 chambered rifles. .308 Winchester load data for commercial bolt action rifles can exceed pressure specs for 7.62x51 rifles. This is a whole another topic, .308 pressures and 7.62 x 51 Nato pressures. For me powder selection has always been in the Imr 4895 burn rate for the 7.62 x 51 rifles.

Oct 28, 2005 · The 7.62X54R is a pretty easy cartridge to work with. If your boolit fits the barrel, you should be able to get good groups with your Lee 312-185.

May 23, 2011 · 7.7 grains of AA-7 is the "factory load duplicator" for the standard 7.62 x 25 as loaded by the Soviets for the Tokarev series of service pistols. From my Tok and the CZ-52, using Hornady limited production FMJ and RNSP 85 grainers--as well as the Hornady .308"/.312" XTP 85 grainer--I get 1375-1400 FPS.
