Apr 12, 2018 · 16 inch fits fine in my vehicles so there is no point in me carrying a 10 or 12 or 7 for defense at home or on the road. I have never tried factory hollowpoint ammo in my 7.5" but my 45gr TSX handloads do expand fully into 12-13" of calibrated gelatin. I couldn't get enough velocity out of 50gr to get full expansion.

Feb 9, 2018 · Opinions wanted. Building AR 5.56 pistol for general fun shooting. All I need to finish it is the barreled upper. I've been leaning toward a 10.5 inch barrel for the additional accuracy but also think a little stubby 7.5 inch would be cool too. Again, it's just going to be for fun shooting in the desert and maybe even for home defense.

Mar 21, 2018 · Most pistol suppressors are only rated for subsonic 300 blackout. Off the top of my head the few that are or might be rated for supersonic 300BO are Omega 9k, Wolf 9sd, and Mystic X. Centerfire rifle cans that take pistons and be used on pistols such as Optimus and Hybrid also can handle 300BO supers.

Jan 23, 2018 · The MK 262 doesn't have sufficient velocity to fragment from a 7.5 inch barrel .Expanding softpoints like the Fusion MSR and Speer Gold dot will give you the best terminal performance at the low velocities of a 7.5 inch barrel.

(IE the same OAL as an M4 carbine at plus two notches).
