Aug 29, 2015 · The 5.3 is a great engine, and the rest of the LS family are great engines too. But the 6.0L vortec seems to have a bad reputation. Is it somehow different to the 5.3 and the rest of the LS engines that make it bad, or is it just because its usually compared to the duramax?

6.0 LS engine is non AFM/DFM, easy to work on and upgrade. 6.0L also sounds WAY nicer than the 6.2L. It has that deep rumble to it that for some reason the 6.2L just cannot reproduce. Reply reply

Aug 20, 2019 · 6.0L V8 TurboDiesel engine has been slightly modified, has a smaller airbox was used in a diagonally mounted position, and the oil pan was modified because the frame is really close to it. Diesel 4-Speed transmissions barely have different gear ratios, custom made by myself. Different turbos available varying from 10 to 100PSI.
