The 57th Wing (57 WG) is an operational unit of the United States Air Force (USAF) Warfare Center, stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. The 57 WG's mission is to provide well trained and well equipped combat forces ready to deploy into a combat arena to conduct integrated combat operations.

From 1991 to present, the 57 th provided combat aircrew capabilities, operating the USAF Weapons and the USAF Combat Rescue Schools, developing techniques and procedures and conducting operational test and evaluation on all major aircraft in the AF inventory.

Dec 18, 2020 · For the 14th time in its history, Air Combat Command officials recently announced the 57th Wing, led by Brig. Gen. Michael R. Drowley, as among the very best, as it earned the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award for the period of June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020.

Destroyed in a fatal crash at Nellis Ranges in 1988. The sun was setting by the time we arrived at show. Delivered to the USAF as 73-0882 then transferred to South Viet Nam in 1974. Returned to the USAF in 1975. To Honduras as 4011 around 1988. Stored at La Ceiba by 2019.
