Feb 22, 2021 · So I am a big AK type rifle lover and I LOVE 5.56 aks the most. The biggest problem with 5.56 AKs is the magazines are expensive and they aren’t always compatible. There are 3 main 5.56 AK type magazines out there, being AK-101 type, Chinese 84S/BWK-92, and Romanian type with the AK-101 pattern being the most widely available now.

Zeroing 5.56 AR15 at 21 Meters?? - Survivalist Forum
Jan 12, 2012 · AR15,.223/5.56, 14.5" barrel, 1 in 7 twist. 55 grain bulk pack Federal. I zeroed it at 50 yards. It is approx 1" high at 100 yards and approx 1" low at 200 yards. I can hit the 275 yard 12"x24" gong at the local range fairly easy without having to hold any vertical correction ( other than hold top 1/2 of the target ).
WASR-3 AK in 5.56? - Survivalist Forum
Jan 30, 2013 · The 5.56 chicom AK's took their own magazine. My friend has one and the last time I found mags for that rifle they were in the 65 dollar range. The Galil is a full size rifle, no doubt about it. For its 9 lbs of heft, you could carry a M1A, HK-93 or FN-FNAL. There are no deals out there right now. Good luck with your purchase.
5.56 vs 5.45 - Survivalist Forum
Dec 18, 2008 · I chose 5.56 in an AK platform over 5.45 primarily because of availability but also for commonality with friends who mostly operate ARs and the wider assortment of ammo choices. However, 55g FMJ .223 rounds are not very impressive to me on wood and metal targets.

You're looking at the round, 7.62x39.

Jun 8, 2016 · 5.56 magazines for the AK-74 are available in high quality polymer and there is a company that makes magazine adapters, one which simply clips on like a magazine and allows AR-15 mags to be used, and a more expensive magazine adapter is permanently installed but the bonus to that one is you get a functional LRBHO that actually leaves the bolt ...
Using M16 ammo pouch to hold AK mags | Survivalist Forum
Oct 16, 2020 · Look into Beez combat systems. I have a multicam AK chest rig that holds 4 mags with built in slots and bunjies to hold them in place with MOLLE on the front for other pouches. I think I paid less than $100 for it. Made in USA to order and there’s like a dozen or more colors/camos to pick from and can also add/subtract the amount of mags you ...
What's a sar-3 romarms ak in .556 worth - Survivalist Forum
Dec 12, 2008 · The glaring disadvantage of this rifle is the bad internals, unreliable magazines (unless they are Weiger), and some replacement parts may cannot be obtained and must be fashioned from AK-74 parts. Some of the earlier models of this rifle do not make a good first AK. They are now NO LONGER imported, replaced by a sister gun in the WASR series."
