The Ford 5.0 Modular "Coyote" is an all-new 5.0-liter gasoline V8 engine, which replaced the previous 4.6L/5.4L Modular versions are in the Ford Mustang GT and Ford F-150 for the 2011 model year. The new 5.0L V8 option was developed with the target of competing with the GM 6.2L V8 engine and the new Chrysler 6.4L Hemi.

The new Modular 4.6-liter V8 series replaced its pushrod-based predecessor, Ford's Small Block 5.0 H.O. engine. Ford's 4.6L V8 has a deep-skirt aluminum or cast iron cylinder block (Romeo and Windsor castings), depending on model year and application.

Nissan's VK56DE/VD is a 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine, first introduced in the 2004 Nissan Armada, which was available in the North America market. The engine is made in the USA (in Decherd, Tennessee).

The 6.7L Power Stroke is a 6.7-liter V8 turbocharged diesel engine. Starting with a clean sheet, in 2008 Ford Motor Company began to develop a new diesel engine for the Ford Super Duty in-house.

In 2010, as a replacement for the M273 engines, Daimler AG introduced the 4.6-liter V8 twin-turbocharged Mercedes-Benz M278 engine.

This 2002-2003 model was equipped with 5.4L supercharged and intercooled V8 engine. Power output: 340 hp (254 kW) at 4,500 rpm, 425 ft-lb (576 Nm) at 3,250 rpm.

The 3UZ-FE was cut of the production in 2010. The new generation of Toyota's V8 engines (the UR family) replaced 3UZ-FE with the new 4.6-liter V8 engine - the 1UR-FSE/FE.

It was a 4.0-litre V8 gasoline engine offered for luxury and sports cars of Toyota and Lexus since 1989 to 2002 and when replaced with the 3UZ-FE engine. In turn, the 1UZ engine replaced the outdated Toyota's V family engines, which were used from the 1960s through the 1990s.

The 3UR-FE engine is a member of the new Toyota's UR family. It is a 5.7-liter V8 with aluminum block and heads. This engine is the biggest displacement version of UR family designed for use in heavy Toyota's cars and trucks (Tundra, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, and Lexus LX570 models).
