As far as I've been able to determine, Pierce is the primary source that all other sources use showing that James' father was Theophilus Field-487, a corrupt bishop and the son of puritan pioneer John Field-1908.

Dec 9, 2024 · Their father shows only as my 4th GGF because the relationship calculator takes the shortest path. Yes, understood. But this is the other way around … it's showing a greater distance (10th ggf) rather than the actual 8th ggf. Think I figured it out.
