Jul 19, 2012 · For a while I've thought that the .450 Marlin cartridge would make a terrific short action bolt rifle. The best, but maybe not the cheapest, way I can come up with would be to rebarrel a Rem 700 in .350 Rem Mag--the right bolt face and action length and the magazine and feed ramps might work with little or no tweaking.
