Mar 11, 2017 · You need to start with a 40 S&W slide as the breech dimensions are the same for the 357 SIG. A 9mm slide won't have the correct machining/size for the cartridge. Therefore you can go 40S&W to 357 SIG but not 9mm to 357 SIG.
