30BR | Sniper's Hide Forum
Aug 10, 2001 · Looks like the 30BR project is gonna happen after all. All that's still needed is the brass, and I'm looking hard at ordering Lapua 6mmBR brass sometime over the next few weeks. Everything else, including the necessary widgets to neck up and prep the brass is already onhand. I'm wondering if...
30 BR Load data | Forums - In Memory of Wilbur Harris 1949-2021 …
Apr 13, 2013 · IMR4198 - 30BR: Starts at 33gr and I thing you will find it from 33.5 to 34.5 gr. I find it works a little better with winchester and wolf magnum small rifle primers. Seems like I4198 needs some extra spark for consistancy. I4198 has never seemed like an unsafe powder for the 30 BR. You need a long drop tube for charges greater than 35gr with it. I had a bbl that like 34.9 gr of IMR4198. Good ...
30 BR and Varget - Shooters' Forum
Mar 30, 2025 · Just got my 30 BR back from smith. Lots of loads for H4198, but only find Varget in Serria book. The data seems a little wild. They show loads for 110's to 155's and above, in the pages for the 30 BR. I plan on 110's to 125's at the most. My chamber is .330 and neck turned to 328.5 (loaded with...
Talk to me about 30 BR - Shooters' Forum
Aug 22, 2023 · Regarding the 30BR, the sole negative attribute is recoil . . . and THAT can be quite subjective. For a bloke such as I, used to shooting 10.0 Lb., 30x47HBR chambered Hunter Class Rifles, even a LV/Sporter weight rifle free-recoil (10.5#), "is like a paid vacation".
What twist for 30BR | Forums - In Memory of Wilbur Harris 1949 …
Aug 28, 2008 · 30br Just like the 6PPC, there is now an entire industry that has cropped up in support of the 30BR. A typical 30BR rig will have a 1-17 or 1-18 twist barrel, shoot 112 to 125 grn bullets, use N130 or H4198 powder, have a "zero" freebore chamber, and probably be built on a HV platform. This wheel has been invented, and invented quite well.

Aug 10, 2001 · Re: .30BR dreamin' Greg, I see you said you would be checking benchrest central. If you haven't gotten around to it, 6mmbr.com has the following page with a bunch of info - to include reloading near the bottom. 30BR 6mmbr.com Anxious to hear your findings. Josh
30br powders | Forums - In Memory of Wilbur Harris 1949-2021
Sep 19, 2024 · 30BR and Reloader-7 Just did some testing with RL-7 in my 30BR, and I thought it looked pretty promising. Shot around five times on a 100 yd score target to get a 100 yd agg. Was a 250 with undetermined X count as the centers was so shot up the dot was gone on each bull.
30 BR powder - Shooters' Forum
Aug 19, 2023 · It's not a commonly used powder in the 30BR. But like several powders in that burn rate area (H322, Benchmark, etc), it might show very good accuracy if you're willing to give up a bit of velocity. Availability is always worth considering. -Al
30br load development - Shooters' Forum
Oct 18, 2023 · I’ve read through the 30BR cartridge guide several times. I’ve got some 112 hottenstien and 112 barts. With VV- N130 and LT-30. After fire-forming I figure I’d start load development with a jam and .004 neck tension. Once I find a node, mess with seating depth and then neck tension? Does this sound right? Sorry for all the 30BR newb ...
