Mar 30, 2022 · I guess the 3090Ti is a precursor as to whats to come. But yeah with Water cooling you would be looking at 1 or 2 slots max depending on which card you go for. Every 3090Ti ive seen is over 3 slots big with the founders edition starting at exactly 3 slots and cards like Evga FTW being 3 slot and the fan shroud extending to almost 4 slots.

Sep 11, 2022 · Yeah that’s why I’m going to go ahead and get the 3090ti, it has all the processing power I’ll need for at least 3-5 years and all the VRAM I need now. Honestly even if the 4080 has 16gb I feel like that wouldn’t be enough. And I don’t think it’s worth paying another $500-$1000 for the 4090 brand new without rebates.

Mar 31, 2022 · The EVGA 3090ti seems to be downright excellent at managing the heat, and the new higher density GDDR6X VRAM modules means no more superhot VRAM temps because half the VRAM is cooled by just a backplate. Techpowerup reviewed an MSI and Zotac 3090ti, and they also seem to be very respectable in the temperature department.

Nov 30, 2020 · I think I saw the 3090 said 92°C or 94°C is when it starts to throttle? I could be misremembering though because I was looking at temps for the 2070, 2080ti, 3050, 3070ti, 3090 and 3090ti recommended running values.

Feb 1, 2023 · The 3090ti is like an old but solid V8 engine. It's a proven performer and it'll last forever with that 24gb of vram. Yeah it eats gas (or power) but how much that matters depends how expensive energy is! The 4070ti is like a turbo V6 car in the mid 90s. It's lighter than a V8, it's more efficient, and it makes as much if not more power.

Jul 24, 2022 · Anyways your 3090ti should spike up to 650watts . the cpu upto 150 watts and probably 100 for the rest. So itll pull 900 watts at worst case scenario. Technically you could pass by on a very good psu (one of those woth 10 year warranties) and never really cross 850 unless you are somehow maxing full load cpu and gpu at the same time.
