Mar 26, 2019 · I have seen different methods of forming 25/20WCF brass from 32/20, but many seem to take several steps. This method has worked great with very little loss of brass in the process. Start first with running the 32/20 brass through a Lyman "M" die to make sure the necks are perfectly round. Take a 25/20WCF seater die and remove the seater stem.

Jun 25, 2016 · The Rem brass is .346 at the base above the rim and the Win and Starline 32-20 brass is right at .355 and will not chamber when sized to 25-20 I have no way of sizing all the way to the rim and really don't want to get the chamber cut.

Dec 28, 2018 · Have a Marlin 1894CL .25-20 and have made cases from Starline .32-20 new brass.... use Redding #83218 Form&trim -series C .25-20 Winchester ... for intermediate die. use case lube v. sparingly to avoid shoulder dents. This die was a better solution then the seating die; however that will work also.

Jan 30, 2024 · Two other things you should do before forming 25-20 are run the 32-20 brass through a sizing die to make sure the necks are perfectly round and anneal the necks. It also helps to run the brass into the 25-20 sizing die in increments, and spreading the lube around between increments. I've been using this method for years and never ruined one.

Feb 29, 2020 · I have made some thousands of formed cases using Starline brass, including 25-20 and 218 Bee. I find that all Starline brass forms far better when properly annealed. The only downside to 25-20 formed from Starline is that it comes out a bit short. This is mainly because the parent 32-20 case is already short.

Dec 3, 2015 · The Redding Form/Trim die is the way to go when converting Starline 32-20 brass to 25-20. No problems with a properly lubed case. FWIW, even cases with the longitudinal wrinkle in the neck shoot fine. (The F/T die didn't do that). _____
