Aug 11, 2021 · The old 18x18x18 is about double. I only partially understand what they were going for, If you actually use the drain there is no need to have as big of a false bottom. You only need a small layer of leca balls. The new Dart Exo 18x18x18 is actually shorter than the old 12x12x18 and 18x18x18.

Apr 28, 2013 · 18x18x18 is too small for mostly all beginner dart frogs. You could get away with 2-3 E.Anthonyi Santa Isabels in there if you utilize the vertical space as well. Make sure that you use wood, some leafy plants, and a tiered background to provide climbing and hiding places. If the tank is well planted you may even get away with a 4th SI.

May 4, 2021 · Exo Terra has finally came out with newer versions of their terrariums designed for dart frogs. The Insitu vivs still seem to have them beat to an extent, but they have new features that are an improvement over the standard exo terra terrariums for dart vivs. They currently only come in 2 sizes though, the 18x18x18 and the 18x18x24.

Mar 30, 2024 · I have the 18x18x18, it's been fantastic (for me), for the below reasons: The built-in drain I am super glad to have, really easy to use without having to open the viv and disturbing the frogs. I like the single door, the visibility is great. I keep leucomelas though and haven't used it with faster frogs like thumbnails, so your mileage may vary.
