May 21, 2022 · ATLANTA — The alleged leader of a gang that operates primarily around Rome and Cartersville was convicted on federal RICO charges, the U.S. Attorney in Atlanta announced this week.

The 135 Piru is a set of the Bloods street gang in Compton. Founded on the east side of Rosewood, the gang controlled a turf stretching from 135th Street and Rosecrans Avenue, between Main Street and McKinley Avenue.

May 21, 2022 · In the early morning hours of May 13, 2017, an argument occurred outside a Brookhaven nightclub between a California-based 135 Pirus gang member and a rival gang member. At that time, Kent fired multiple rounds into a crowd of people outside the club, critically wounding the other gang member as well as a club security guard.
