Jan 27, 2023 · I spent 3 years as a 12N in the Reserves. When your doing your MOS it's the best job in the Army. At an Engineer company you might have other 12 series MOSs, but you as the 12N is going to be the main operator of all vehicles, of course the heavy equipment, but also LMTVs, Humvees, tractor trailer, water trucks, etc. it is really fun if you like driving all our toys.
Reclassing to either 12B or 12N : r/army - Reddit
Jan 1, 2021 · 12N you get experience on a large range of construction equipment. It will be the same style of equipment that civilian companies use. 12B you learn to use army specific equipment, explosives, and mine clearance equipment. Probably harder to find a civilian job to apply those skills. Even civilian demolitions will require a different skill set.

Mar 4, 2021 · 12N ait is 9 weeks long, you'll learn 8 pieces of heavy machinery, one week per piece of equipment. It's all hands on test unless the weather gets bad. You'll either go to alpha 554 or delta. If you go to alpha, you're gonna have the worse ait experience out of any mos here.
