Feb 11, 2009 · Interesting project, we’ve made brass for 12.7x108 but never reloaded any of it and never had any ppu samples to dissect. If it’s anything like the specs we made to it shouldn’t be much different than reloading BMG.

Feb 11, 2009 · For a FYI if I remember correctly the original specs for the 12.7x108 rounds are 8 groove barrels, 1-15.5 twist and the DSHK barrels if I remember correctly are 38.5” finish length. Again if I remember correctly as I had one that was the measurement from breech face to muzzle crown. Doesn’t include the muzzle brake.

Mar 17, 2023 · I have been able to locate sources for 12.7X108-mm Russian (Brass Cases), and for 14.5X114-mm Russian (Steel Cases). I located Chamber Reamers for both Cases, and Reloading Dies. My problem is, I am lost somewhere up shit-creek when I try to find a Chamber Reamer for the 12.7X114HL, and any associated Brass for the Cartridge.

May 2, 2022 · Should've thrown the 12.7x108 Russian round in that one pic. Here it is.... L to R 50BMG (12.7x99mm), 12.7x108mm Russian, 12.7x114 and the 60 US machine gun round. I'd compare the 50bmg to the 12.7x108 Russian like comparing 308 Winchester to 30-06 Springfield. Dam near ballistic twins.

Apr 26, 2022 · yes the 14.9SOP was a failure and it's an ugly cartridge but it was based on 20mm shell. 12,7 x 144 is based on 14.5x144mm. i don't want talk about barrel life because all cartridges in thoses calibers are barrel burners.(375/50, 416/50, 458 goliath, 416 destoryer...) i can not belive that someone get a long barrel life with these cartridges.
