m24 has higher bullet velocity, but does less dmg, some people like the m24 because you have to lead less while shooting moving targets/farther targets. Both are a 1 shot to a 2 helm. m24 can take an ext mag which is 8 bullets, kinda of nice but doesn't make a huge difference.
