Aug 29, 2020 · TypeFast.io. I created TypeFast.io a small while ago and deployed it, but never really officially released it, so here it goes.

Try www.bsbltyping.com.They have a 1 minute typing test and a full test. You get really good analytical reports e-mailed to you which analyse your typing performance like an athlete's performance.

So I just learned typetest.io was bought by a new owner from the new branding and the announcement on discord. I really liked that site but I will probably stop using it, new owner is software that tracks keyboard and internet/app usage for statistics etc.

Aug 10, 2020 · I chose to make it similar to typetest.io and 10fastfingers.com, both of which select random words from a given set of words, unlike Typeracer which uses set sentences and paragraphs. Currently, the set of words is fixed, but you can customise the length of the test and whether the current WPM and/or remaining time should be displayed or not.

Mar 10, 2023 · 190+ WPM is what I got on a typing test on 'typetest' (60 seconds). If I could ever get a clean run through on a good day, I feel like 200+ WPM is definitely possible but I always choke right before the end of the test (I usually cut off the timer on tests for that reason).

Nov 19, 2021 · Absolutely! I type with a wide variety of keyboards all the time and most of the time I find myself on a membrane keyboard of some kind at work - usually a laptop. 100wpm is totally doable, though I will admit that some keyboards are better than others.
