Are KA-Bar knives worth the money? : r/knives - Reddit
Jul 8, 2012 · The Ka-bar USMCs vary depending on steel (avoid the 440 ones, the 1095 ones are decent value, but not the strongest knives in the world). The Ka-bar Beckers are pretty bullet-proof by all accounts, and probably the best fit for what you're asking for. I've heard bad things about some of the Ka-bar zombie range.
Which is better: The Ka Bar Marine or the Camillus?
Jun 6, 2000 · The KA-BAR feels better in my hand, due to the thinner, more profiled grip. Both knives use 1095 steel, and are the same thickness, and pretty much the same profile, although there is a little difference at close comparison. Is Kabar still the good old Kabar, or has it gone down hill?
Nov 25, 2014 · Ka-bar still makes their classic kabar knife in the USA, along with a couple of other lines of knives, like the Beckers. That said, their knives made in Taiwan aren't bad. I carried a Dozier folder for years, and it's a good inexpensive cutter. I've …

3 Military Ka-Bars acquired. Need help with ID - BladeForums.com
Feb 17, 2013 · With Ka-Bar marked knives IMHO I don't think there really is a specific chronology regarding the thick and thin pommels, ( it maybe that there is work done on this that I've missed). Certainly the first knives had thick pommels but there seems to be a bit of debate as to whether they switched back and forth during the war production.
