Mar 27, 2018 · Thoughts on R1200R after 1 year of ownership I own a 2012 cam-head R1200R. I bought it one year ago with 15k miles and it now has 30k miles. I found this forum very helpful when I was deciding on this bike, and so I thought I’d add to the pool of reviews, after having owned this bike for 1 year...

Aug 25, 2022 · I have had previous r1200r's (camhead 2012) and now have had a 2017 r1200r for more than a year. I've also picked up a r1250gs just a few weeks ago. Obviously, R to GS are different bikes with different chassis and feel, but in terms of engine, yes the 1250 picks up a bit better at lower rpm and it does rev better at higher.

Mar 22, 2013 · After 65,000 miles on my 2003 R1150R, I am pondering moving up to an R1200R and have encountered two for sale locally, both at dealerships here in southeast Michigan. One is a 2007 R1200R and the other is a 2011 R1200R (they both have very low miles and ABS)...there is a 45% price difference.

Sep 23, 2015 · ALL R1200R's have them. BMW has issued an extended warranty on the fuel sensors - 12 years from the initial date of purchase. Just something to be aware of - happily it only takes the mechanics about an hour to replace one on an R1200R (lots longer on other models due to the plastic panels that have to be removed.)
