Joe Yabuki (矢吹 丈, Yabuki Jō or nicknamed just Joe, ジョー, lit. Jō) is the protagonist of Ashita no Joe. He was a Bantamweight professional boxer and member of the Danpei Tange Gym. He became the OPBF Champion after defeating Kim Yong-Bi and went on to challenge Jose Mendoza for the WBC and WBA Belts.
