I need for our welders to be able to easily (and visually) discern the size and location of the each individual bead. The way my company has handled this in the past is to create unique bodies for each weld bead and mate them where desired in the assembly, but I feel there has to be a better way to do this using Solidworks' built-in features.

I have a super basic tube with varying ID, OD, and length that i'm trying to control with a design table. I first tried using a saved configuration table from the configuration dialog however there seemed to be no way to add a part configuration table to a drawing so i switched to trying a "Design table" with the excel symbol.

Jun 16, 2008 · A fresh Windows (XP 64 bit) with solidworks (2008 SP3.1 64 bit) was installed on a new hard drive. Only the graphics/sound/network drivers have been installed, so its clean.

- Close/Re-Open Solidworks - Restart computer. WHAT I TRIED THAT ***DOES*** WORK: - Change the Display Style. If I change from "Hidden Lines Removed" to any other display state, the new geometry appears. I can then change to any display state that I want and the correct geometry remains showing.

Aug 24, 2011 · This still allows the part to open, but when checking the file back in to the vault it causes SolidWorks to crash. We recently upgraed to EPDM 2011 SP4 but remain on SolidWorks 2010 SP2. Does anyone out there has some suggestions?
