Many (all?) of the teeth found in the MN granite quarries is also found just across the MN . state border in SD where the granite is also mined.

There were many small shark teeth to keep me picking fossils out of each sieve, mostly were this lighter color, not normal for the Peace River..

May 1, 2019 · I just looked at a post that I did almost 1 year ago about Hogtown Creek in Gainesville and this post is almost exactly the same. It was a quick visit to Alfred Ring Park, about 45 minutes, and again I only found some miscellaneous bone pieces, Ray and shark teeth. The temp was hot, 86 degrees, and the water was cool- it made for a great time.

Nov 28, 2020 · The ammonites you found are Prionocyclus macombi and the shark teeth are from Ptychodus whippeli. The little "bottle cap" oysters are Lopha lugubris while the other bivalve is Inoceramus...they look to me like I. dimidius though there are two inoceramid biozones in that formation. The mineral is calcite...very common in concretions.
