Dec 5, 2012 · Irfanview allows for two, seemingly similar GPS location methods under EXIF info; Google Earth and GeoHack-Wiki. If an image has GPS or Geo tagging data, Google Earth will convert it to a specific location (point) while selecting GeoHack-Wiki will convert to a general area (vicinity) around the location.

Jan 31, 2012 · Irfanview does however now also have the ability to put back the transparent PNG or GIF onto a different background using the new Watermark/overlay tool in v4.32. Since this is not the primary purpose of the feature though there are some restrictions.

I've downloaded 'copytransheic' and I can use it in the "drag'n'drop" mode, but I was hoping for a method that automatically gave me jpg photos when I download them to my PC using Windows Explorer but leaves the HEIC format images on the iPHone.

Sep 17, 2009 · I don't think there is an IrfanView plug-in. As MItaly points out, there are many stand-alone applications that find duplicates. However, there are several different kinds of duplicate finders -- which are you looking for? The most common kind for duplicate finder looks for files with the same name.

Sep 21, 2023 · As noted, neither option 1 nor option 3 worked to get HEIC images to display in Irfanview. So, I downloaded and installed the codec referenced in option 2. Images still not display in Irfanview though they will now open in Microsoft's "Photos" app that comes with Windows. I really do prefer to use Irfanview over the Windows app. Thanks,
