Jul 8, 2017 · Certainly dinghy racing has dropped through the floor. With a few bright spots. 505. Canoe. Thistle. Lightning. Laser. Sunfish. MC. Snipe in some areas. And the UFO is on the rise. Maybe the aero will go somewhere. I was rooting for the Dzero. I think that has traction in Europe. I'm not mentioning junior sailing. I've left out some boats for sure.

Aug 13, 2016 · I'd be installing it on a 15' day sailor/dinghy and would use the existing jib cars, cleats and fairleads to secure it, along with a few extra fairleads to guide the bridle in the right direction. I'd probably use both cars, not just the one-sided system shown in the diagram, so adjustments could be made from either side of the cockpit.

Mar 22, 2017 · I've seen jib furlers on a 15' dinghy and other small boats. They have their place; it depends what you want them for. I've also seen them fail. Storing your jib on one with the mast up is a good way to destroy it (whether from UV, or from sudden unfurling). I've also seen them simply fail to function when you need them.
