Addgene: pEGFP-N1-TFEB
Plasmid pEGFP-N1-TFEB from Dr. Shawn Ferguson's lab contains the insert TFEB and is published in Sci Signal. 2012 Jun 12;5 (228):ra42. This plasmid is available through Addgene.
mTOR-dependent phosphorylation controls TFEB nuclear export
Aug 17, 2018 · Transcription factor EB (TFEB) is a member of the MiT-TFE helix–loop–helix leucine-zipper (bHLH-Zip) family of transcription factors and plays a pivotal role in organelle biogenesis and cell...
The Transcription Factor TFEB Links mTORC1 Signaling to
Jun 12, 2012 · Here, we identified an interaction between the lysosome-localized mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) and the transcription factor TFEB (transcription factor EB), which promotes lysosome biogenesis.
A TFEB nuclear export signal integrates amino acid supply and …
Jul 11, 2018 · Here we found that TFEB has a regulated nuclear export signal (NES) in which phosphorylation at the ERK/mTORC1 phosphorylation site at S142 primed for phosphorylation by GSK3β at S138....
Multistep regulation of TFEB by MTORC1 - PMC
The master regulator of lysosome biogenesis, TFEB, is regulated by MTORC1 through phosphorylation at S211, and a S211A mutation increases nuclear localization. However, TFEBS211A localizes diffusely in both cytoplasm and nucleus and, as we show, ...
Genetic and Chemical Activation of TFEB Mediates Clearance of ...
Mar 19, 2015 · We found that TFEB overexpression reduces the accumulation of aggregated α-syn by inducing autophagic clearance of α-syn. Furthermore, we showed that pharmacological activation of TFEB using 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin promotes autophagic clearance of aggregated α-syn.
TFEB triggers a matrix degradation and invasion program in triple ...
Dec 26, 2024 · Repression in several TNBC models, including in patient-derived xenografts (PDXs), induces nuclear translocation of transcription factor EB (TFEB), which drives a transcriptional program that controls endolysosome function and exocytosis.
Addgene: pMRX-IP TFEB-sfGFP
Plasmid pMRX-IP TFEB-sfGFP from Dr. Eisuke Itakura's lab contains the insert TFEB and is published in Sci Rep. 2019 Aug 12;9 (1):11635. doi: 10.1038/s41598-019-48131-2. This plasmid is available through Addgene.
mTOR-dependent phosphorylation controls TFEB nuclear export
Time-lapse imaging of cells stably expressing TFEB-GFP revealed that TFEB rapidly redistributes from the nucleus to the cytosol within 20 min upon nutrient replenishment (Fig. 1a), indicating that TFEB undergoes active nuclear export.
A TFEB nuclear export signal integrates amino acid supply and …
Here we found that TFEB has a regulated nuclear export signal (NES) in which phosphorylation at the ERK/mTORC1 phosphorylation site at S142 primed for phosphorylation by GSK3β at S138. Phosphorylation at both sites was required for efficient nuclear export and GSK3β was inhibited via AKT downstream from mTORC2 in response to glucose limitation.
