Child Advocates (CA)/Child Life Specialists (CLS) work with children and families to help them overcome difficult life challenges. CA/CLS at TEDI BEAR CAC help children and their families feel as comfortable as possible by providing support to relieve anxiety and build trust.

Not all of TEDI BEAR’s work takes place within our Greenville Center. We also work closely with Multidisciplinary Teams (“MDTs”) throughout eastern North Carolina to help ensure that child abuse is effectively addressed at the local level.

TEDI BEAR offers free Stewards of Children training to all interested adults who want to know how to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sexual abuse. This free training requires 2 to 2.5 hours, and is generally offered for the public each month.
