It wouldn’t gravity feed as easy as corn, but then you see products like Purina Antler Max with moisture shield coating, and wish you could find the rice bran with some coating to gravity feed/spin feed a little better.

Nov 8, 2023 · The auger style/gravity feeders can work but are still prone to the bran bridging over and not flowing properly, especially in humid conditions. Stabilized rice bran will store and flow a little better than "raw" rice bran, but the deer seem to like the raw bran a little better in my opinion.

Sep 24, 2012 · I have never had deer come to this stuff. I have tried it all. Peanut butter, persimmon, apple, plain rice bran. All I hear is my buddies talk about how great there deer are killing the stuff. I put it out with corn in my bunk feeders. Put corn on one side and rice bran on the other end of feeder. They won't touch the rice bran.

Sep 30, 2018 · I was hoping to try something different. I was thinking of getting one of those moultree gravity feeders that mount to a T post and try and put it high enough filled with rice bran that the hogs couldn't reach it but I thought the coons might tear it up.

Apr 30, 2018 · Well after not having any coon pics when I loaded the feeder up with corn last year, as you can see I finally got a coon eating the rice bran It’s only been a week since I put out feed but already have deer showing up. And all the rice bran was gone from the feeder but I only put maybe 5 lbs in it, just to test it out to see how it would work.

Jul 2, 2008 · During the night we had a light rain, drizzle, or heavy dew and the rice bran turned into concrete. It was quite funny however, watching the raccoons and squirrels out there the next morning with their little jack-hammers, trying to get to the corn. The deer either didn't like the mix, or just decided it was too much trouble to get to.
