Maine Waterfall Hikes: Moxie Falls. Moxie Falls is a must-do hike in the Forks, Maine. One of the tallest waterfalls in New England, Moxie Falls is also one of the easiest to reach. The trail is less than a mile long, wide and easy to follow for most of the trek.

The Moxie Falls hike is about 2 miles total, mostly flat until you get to the falls themselves – then there are stairs. It is an easy hike. We went mid-June during a heatwave for a quick morning hike. It was hot, sticky, and very buggy. Fortunately, it was very butterfly-y too!

Oct 6, 2019 · The falls are pretty, the 0.8-mile trail to the falls is easy, and once you get to the viewing area, there are boardwalks, steps and viewing platforms to make the experience safe and kind of fun. The path to the falls is wheelchair accessible for sturdy wheels but the platforms and steps at the waterfall are not.
