Jun 5, 2017 · The Apple USB driver is nowhere to be found in the Device Manager yet is present on my hard drive in the appropriate folder. I tried installing the driver manually but it did not change anything even after multiple reboots. Other USB devices are recognized with no problem. I asked on Apple who referred me back to you as it is a Windows issue.

Win11 Hardware and Connection properties shows Ethernet2, Wifi, LAC1, LAC2, Bluetooth, and Proxy Auto Detect is on. I cant find anything useful to configure it in Advanced Internet Options or via "Apple Mobile Device USB Composite device" in the device manager.

Aug 27, 2020 · Tested this method. This puts me back to the time before the Apple USB update in WIndows 10 of yesterday morning: Copy job starts and ends inside ca. 10 seconds, than abruptly stops. The copy job windows simply disappears, but the iPhone is still connected and you can restart the job. Interesting... :-) but no solution. On to #3

I go to the device manager to download / update the drivers, but there is no "Portable Devices" tab, nor is there anything related to iPhones in the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" tab. Instead there is an "Other devices" tab and iPhone is under it but it has a warning sign.
