May 17, 2016 · I have recently seen Hard Candy and i feel very mixed about it. I always wanted to see it, because im a Ellen Page fan, and the premise as well as all the footage I saw of it seemed very interresting. But the claims of it being extremely hard to watch in terms of gore scared me a bit, and the bad Metacritic score didn't help either.

Jan 25, 2017 · That's what Hard Candy lacked for me, and why I found it distasteful. It really only has two characters, and neither of them is relatable IMO. They are both bad people who do terrible things. Without the light and shade for contrast, it just felt like the only message was "bad things are bad, mmmkay?".

Stayed home sick today, have a long movie backlog, and the next one just happened to be Hard Candy. Was uncomfortable for most of it and really struggled watching the fake castration. This is by far Page’s best performance in my opinion and I’ve grown to love Patrick Wilson (he was awesome in Fargo).

Oct 20, 2023 · Hard candy can’t be naturally low calorie simply because of the method used to make it. Hard candy is just boiled sugar + flavors/colors. Anything you find that is sugar free is not something you want to eat mindlessly. The sugar alcohols they use in place of sugar cause abdominal pain, bloating, gas and in some cases explosive diarrhea.
