I reached out to GroupMe support, and I was told that any picture message older than five years is automatically deleted and not retained or archived by GroupMe. Feb 21, 2021 · Slack and discord do the same as groupme and more. But they both have so many more features that it can get confusing/overwhelming. At the end, we just want a texting platform that is easy and familiar (such as text messages). And groupme satisfies that.

Jun 17, 2021 · You can do both but to get the number there no API for it. Simply turn on send messages by sms in GroupMe and have someone in the group send a message and you’ll get a text. I’m pretty sure this has some magic in it though by using your phone number internally. There’s no way they have enough phone numbers for every GroupMe chat.

Jun 25, 2021 · I got a message claiming to be from GroupMe support saying I won a free iPad. I clicked on the link and it said it was verifying my IP address and had me fill out a 3 question survey. It then took me to a page to fill out my personal information like name address and credit card info. I didn’t fill in that info.

In the CS groupme, consulting with others about the homework assignments is strictly forbidden, because that's a good way to fail the class and paint the groupme in a bad light. Regarding slackers, there are a fuckton. Out of the 590-ish people in my physics groupme, about 15-20 actually help one another consistently.
