Sep 8, 2013 · I've always been able to do this before Windows8Pro. You go to the internet, say, www.ebay.com and you'd like to make an icon on your desktop for ebay. I don't see anyway to do that. I'm sure it must be there. I know how to make a shortcut from an application to the desktop, but I don't see how to do the same for a URL address. Thanks, Steve

Jan 7, 2020 · Go to your desktop, right-click on a blank space and click New > Shortcut, type the address of the website that you want as a shortcut ( in this case www.ebay.com ) then choose a name for this shortcut. You'll have a shortcut on your desktop that should open the eBay website automatically when you click on it. Regards, Didi
