Dec 24, 2023 · I think in the next year since our female chartreux gave birth like 3 months ago and needs rest. Our kittens were already full reserved since when they were born. We are thinking about buying another chartreux female. :) Edit: im waiting for my mom to check the breeders name since im not home so it can be slow. 😅

Dec 20, 2013 · A Chartreux, is a pretty rare breed and originates from France. I don't know where you are, but wherever, it's pretty unlikely that a purebred breeder allowed one of her cats to get loose, let alone a kitten. I believe there are only a few breeders located in the USA for instance. Good breeders keep good tabs on their kitties.

Actually, the opposite is true -- all "purebred" cats are descendants of random bred domestic shorthair and longhair cats, if you go back far enough. Cats were domesticated about 10,000 years ago.

Aug 4, 2018 · Chartreux cats typically have a different head shape than your kitty. He has his own distinctive look! The dilute (blue) gene is common in the domestic cat population, so it's quite common to see solid blue cats popping up everywhere that aren't related to any specific breed.

May 2, 2023 · She def is a mix of chartreux but not pure. She has all the chartreux characteristics, the yellow eyes, blue coat, the shape of face but the white spots indicate that she was a mix with different cat, probably some european cat. Chartreux are full blue/gray/dusty. But its okay, she is very welcome here. :) She is very beautiful too!

Jun 23, 2018 · The cat did not come with any papers stating her breed so i am assuming she is not pedigree however she is a very beautiful cat and definitely has some strong features that are really similar to breeds such as the Russian Blue, Korat and Chartreux.
