Mar 22, 2008 · Shortly after making this thread I sold the camo canoe and replaced it with a sportspal x-13 scanoe. I outfitted the scanoe with a used 2 hp honda outboard( 4 stroke with air cooled motor and water cooled exhaust) that is the lightest in its class at 27 lbs. The new canoe is also 40lbs lighter than the camo one since it is aluminium.

Apr 25, 2006 · They are more or less a very small canoe. Pretty good for small bodies of water, but they are pretty unstable. Bass fishing with jigs along and in brush are thier strong suit. Dec 14, 2010 · I tried what you are planning years ago. 17' square stern fiberglass canoe with a 2hp outboard. I got it specifically to fish B&R and LHL. The wind was the biggest enemy, there is no way I could get that damn thing to drift worth a damn, always tended to spin, even with a drift sock at each end.
