Oct 8, 2020 · First, you can check the settings while the meeting is going on and start/stop the wait room. Second if you made a unique meeting (and it has a different meeting id from your personal meeting room) then you can automatically have a waiting room for that meeting. Third, you can do this to your personal meeting room too.

It's never the same person from day to day and it affects them the entire length of the meeting. Even after restarting the meeting and even removing the waiting list they receive the same message and are unable to join.

Jul 9, 2020 · My organization does this regularly. I’ve been co-host myself without having to log into a zoom account. A few other points: A co-host has some of the privileges of the host, but not all of them. However, admitting people from the waiting room is definitely one they can do.

May 5, 2021 · I actually encountered this for the first time yesterday - if you enable "allow participants to join anytime" along with a waiting room, it seems like the first person to join becomes the host and has to let any other attendees in (aside from the original host, who doesn't have to stay in the waiting room). The original host then becomes the host.
