Apr 25, 2020 · Follow that starter trigger wire backwards from starter. You will have to cut open tape and loom. You will only have to go less that 3 feet. I have found the trigger wire broken in this area at least 10 times on a Cascadia. Zip ties too tight is what causes it.

Nov 14, 2011 · I changed sensors a few times. Each time I thought it was fixed. Finally changed the pigtail, buying a new one, that’s about 10” long. A mechanic told me they often break along the intake. I think the plug goes bad also from vibration. Every time the fan kicks on, it flops around. Some good zip ties helps.

May 8, 2014 · Cut all those zip ties and open up the loom and check ever inch of each wire in the harness. There is a good chance you will find a spot where the wiring has rubbed through. I think they are only 20 gauge wires there now, they are just too small and weak to handle the rough environment of the trucking world.

Feb 10, 2011 · I drove less than a mile on I-57 IL, after the buzzer came on oil pressure 30psi pulled off the highway when I got on the ramp derated bad lost power and in 5 seconds the motor stopped. After i noticed the sensor broken, I played with the harness, secured it to stop moving with zip ties and it start showing oil pressure very high 100psi.

Apr 5, 2019 · I got a few like thet, lamnda sensor negative, DSI parameters flickering on and off, i notice the wire to the DSI is kinda of marshmallow brown to. I wanna start saying these engine harnesses go bad after 6 or 7 years especially with how small the data lines and other wires are, the tightness of the factory zip ties.

Mar 1, 2024 · Locate the harness and disconnect it at the batteries and cut all the zip ties and inspect it right up to where it connect to the chassis harness near the firewall. If there are no problems with the power harness I would contact a dealer and see if they can reflash the engine ECU with the latest software.
