In 1969, Zink began producing the Z-9. The Super Vee series had been announced and Zink decided to build a racer for competition. It was given a space frame chassis constructed from stressed aluminum and round and square steel tubing. The engine was a Volkswagen unit, as were the brakes.

Weighing in at about 850 pounds, the seller claims it’s very quick, and any modern upgrades are said to be easily removed in order to accommodate vintage racing rules.

Feb 22, 2022 · It's a classic 1960s/70s race trailer. No suspension, removable tire rack, ramps fold down, and no need for tie downs as the ramps fold forward and tighten with big wing nuts while the front pieces are "C" shaped to grab the front tires. My understanding is that this is an original Zink-built trailer, but someone may tell me otherwise.

Oct 2, 2006 · The very first zero roll FV was (and still is) the Shadowfax - designed and built in 1969 (I think) by the late Harvey Templeton. The car is now owned by Mike Jackson and it was at the 45th party at Roebling. He regularly kicks 'a' in the Monoposto vintage races as his is the ONLY car with zero roll suspension that is allowed to compete.
