All non armored zerg anti air will trade very effectively in a fight where all units can fight. The strength of mass voids comes from clustering ideally above dead space so only a small number of hydras can trade. So then the answer to lots of clustered air units is fungle or parasitic bomb.

Dec 27, 2020 · If a void ray fleet at a scale attached your base, here is what happened. Suppose you have the tier 2 best counters, a bunch of hydras. They simply bounce between bases over the cliff, hydras can hardly make much damage before they run away with your buildings and drones razed to the ground.

Against Terran, sufficient numbers of Marines (especially with Stimpack), or properly controlled Vikings, can deal with Void Rays. Zerg players can build additional Queens until they are able to morph sufficient numbers of Hydralisks or Mutalisks.

May 9, 2012 · It's been my experience that there's no *single* zerg unit that's good against mass void rays. * Mass infestor is cost inefficient if he splits up his void rays, and it's tricky to fungal without letting him kill any infestors and yet also prevent him from escaping with some of the damaged void rays.

Feb 16, 2013 · Against zerg you are doomed as the defensive queen is capable of killing lone void rays trying to charge up and rush. If you try to mass then they will respond with mass hydralisks (maybe mutalisks?) which will mince your void rays effortlessly.
