Mar 3, 2023 · Pentosin has good equivalents. Not sure what theirs is for the G12 EVO. But other than G11 you should be able to mix OEM coolants with no issue.

Dec 27, 2016 · I'm currently using the pentosin g12 equivalent. G40 meets TL 774 G. The latter is G12 Plus Plus. G40 is an equivalent coolant to G12 Plus Plus. Whether you run G12, or G12 Plus, or G12 Plus Plus, G40 should be compatible with all of them, and also with G13. To make sure, call Zerex tech support.

Feb 11, 2023 · Zerex G40 is good stuff. Perfectly acceptable to replace G12. I've heard it fine. But I wouldn't mix it, personally. Are you low? You can just top up with some distilled water. You can also get the Pentosin equivalent at some auto parts stores, which is trustworthy for mixing with OEM coolant. I think its Pentofrost SF for the G12.

Jul 22, 2024 · A standard G40 formulation, like one from Zerex, has proven to be exactly the same as the G12++ formula. That makes it compatible with any VW since the eighties, which is perfect for a quick top-up.

Aug 18, 2008 · The Zerex G40 is G12++. I use it in both my VW and Porsche. They sell it in concentrate and prediluted 50/50 mix. The concentrate is a better deal.
