Jan 22, 2018 · On a zx9r for street and longevity I’d be looking at 530 size chain with stock size 16F 41R (or 43R for a bit more git). The upper line DID and EK Xring style chains offer higher tensile strength. Some like RK. As for sprockets I’m a Sunstar steel sprocket fan.

Sep 15, 2009 · I'm pretty new to suspension setup on my ZX9R but I understand the basics. I just replaced the fork seals on the forks a couple of weeks ago and smoothed out some pitting on the tubes. I used 5w oil and after returning the forks to the factory settings it seems too soft to me. Although they do handle the nasty Massachusetts roads a little better.

Apr 10, 2007 · I have a ZX9R 1995, done blank off kit for emissions, 4 degree advancer, My needles on the carbs moved up and down quite a lot within the slides. so a few washers on top of the needle sorted that, Nice and tight like a german virgin now.....lol Done shims, carb balance, new plugs , oil/filter and new coolant and ZX1 friction reducer.
