Feb 7, 2002 · I have built a lot of 1004 cc engines out of 800 ZRT's. You need to get 3 1999 or 2000 ZR 700 pistons. You need to call D&D and order the 3 spacer shims. I always pay the extra shipping and have them bored and shipped back to me. Then I port all the cylinders and send them back to get plated. Then I polish them and finish them up.

Zrt 800 clutching - Snowmobile World
Jan 26, 2002 · The ZRT 800's that I play with are faster clutched at 8250rpm than 8400+ rpm. But not all sleds are the same, I have not had any luck shifting a ZRT 800 over 8400 rpm, It feels snappy at the higher rpm but can't get it to pull hard.

It's had the recall parts installed and works excellent (stock). I've been to the lake three times with good success. Feb 14, 2011 · Power is close the 800 twin was 'rated' around 140 and the triple was 150. Both use pretty close to the same chasis, so handling is about the same, just in the tighter trails the weight of the triple will be noticeable. I'd say it the real tight and rough stuff I feel I could run my ZR 500 faster then my old 99 ZRT 800.

Nov 17, 2008 · The 99 ZRT 800 had rack carbs, the 99 Thundercat had round slides 99 ZRT 800 carbs had 2.0 throttle slides, 2000 and newer 800 had 3.5 slides, 1000 had 3.0 slides. 99 ZRT 800 came stock with 400 mains and ran like hell, way to rich... it needs 350 or 360 depending on temp. The 2000 ZRT 800 had 350 jets, 2000 newer tcat 1000 had 320's

Jan 28, 2004 · I have a 96 zrt 800 and I run 23/40 gearing, yellow green primary, 60 g weights, 62/50 helix with stock spring in the driven, 244 1 1/8" picks and it works really well. I raced one of those big "polaris twins" (2004 800 XC) and made him feel kinda foolish that an ol antique like mine trimmed him but I got a kick out of it.

2000 Zrt 800 - Snowmobile World
Dec 15, 2002 · I ride a 2001 ZRT-800, i don't think that they changed much between the 2000 and 2001 models. I love my zrt, it's wicked fast, handles good, and is comfortable, I had a clutch kit installed, stock clutchs burned up belts at the rate of one every 100 miles.
