The motor that Ron had in his sled that day is about 2 versions behind what he has now. That motor was a 191hp 130 ft. lbs of torque motor. His current version is in the mid to upper 190's still on 87 octane.

Arctic Cat somehow dampened the heck out of the engine cradle and it doesn't send nearly the buzz to the handlebar as you'd expect from a big twin. Plus, the ZR is 26 factory pounds lighter than the '02 ZRT 600 and 68 factory pounds lighter than an '01 T-Cat (the one without reverse and Smart Ride). Sep 15, 2011 · What kind of HP an torque do the ZR 900's put out? Seriously considering a 03 or 06 900 for this winter. I know they porbably wont keep up with the newer 800HO or 1000 cats but I want something with torque and reliability.

Oct 29, 2012 · Pro - Its an AWS V chassis, great for high speed cornering, nice ride, good engine, change pistons every once in awhile though or the skirts blow. Cons DD, don't bottom the driven clutch or there she goes. I think the driven is too low in the 900 DD models.
