It was the son whose posters are so well known and who toured for 17 years with the show after his father died. He toured the show until his own death in 1967. Yu Li San did her mentalism act with the second Professor Alba. I was just at the Magic Castle swap meet and saw an original of the poster below.

Yu-Li-San was a Spanish female magician and mentalist who specialized in a spiritism act during the 1950's with the younger "Profesor Alba". She billed herself as "Yu-Li-San The Enigmatic Medium".

Feb 19, 2025 · Here is a quite extraordinary Spanish lady. She is beautiful and she can communicate with spirits! The artist know as "Yu Li San" (I cannot find her real name) was the wife of "Professor Alba" and she was his sidekick in his shows which is why "Professor Alba" is also on the poster.

Yu Li San performed a spiritism act as an assistant to the magician Professor Alba (Paulo Alba; d 1967) who took over the successful magic touring show after the death of his father, also Professor Alba (Manola Alba; 1894-1950). Very good condition, repaired tears, minor staining, backed on linen.

The scant information that I can find about Alba and Yu Li San saws that Alba was a Spanish magician in the 1930s but the poster of Yu Li San is from 1959. This does not seem to match (see: http://www.the-forum.com/posters/alba.htm).
