Also resembling ice picks or awls, these “thorns” fit Yor’s shtick as an assassin that could kill swiftly and efficiently.

Jul 24, 2022 · In the fan book the author said her weapons are based on stilettos. The idea for her weapon comes from how the main character in the spy novel Eye of the Needle (by Ken Follett) uses a needle-like weapon called a stiletto.

During her missions, Yor uses thorn-like weapons to get the job done. These slim cylindrical weapons look like awls. To eliminate her target, she uses these weapons to thrash and stab them.

To this extent, she has an affinity towards weapons, being captivated by a painting of a guillotine and a table knife. In a complete idiosyncrasy, Yor is extremely gullible, being easily fooled by the ridiculous lies Loid tells her to hide his identity.
