Yonah is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in White County, Georgia, United States. It first appeared as a CDP in the 2010 census. Its population was 657 as of the 2020 census. Georgia State Route 75 passes through the community.

Yonah Mountain (commonly referred to as "Mount Yonah" or, by older Georgians, "Yonah Bald") is a mountain ridge located in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest in Georgia, United States. It is between the cities of Cleveland and Helen .

May 13, 2021 · Yonah rises from the foothills of Georgia’s southern Appalachian Mountains, jutting skyward from the rolling landscape between Cleveland and Helen. The mountain’s asymmetrical, iconic shape and massive, exposed rock outcrops near the summit lend to its popularity with hikers and climbers.

The Mount Yonah trail is easily accessible from Georgia Highway 75 between Cleveland and Helen. It's a relatively short trail at 2.1 miles, but some sections of the trail are steep enough to get a good little workout. Just right if you just want to spend an hour or two outdoors.

One of north Georgia's most popular hikes for good reason, Yonah Mountain offers breathtaking views from the south to the northwest all along it's lengthy bare rock face. The scenery is even more rewarding due to the steep climb of 1500 feet in just over 2 miles.
