Jan 27, 2015 · Sure enough when our Yanmar 2GM (sea water cooled only) is idling, water drips out of the pump 1 drip every 3.175 seconds (drip slows to every 31.237 seconds at 2200 rpm).... We might be taking her 180+ nm down the ICW to St Aug soooo, has anyone rebuilt a water pump using the rebuild kit (seals, bearings, clips, etc)?

Yanmar branded products are usually much more expensive than the same product without the Yanmar name. I just purchased new motor mounts from Ellebogen at half the cost of Yanmar mounts the same size and shape.

Jan 24, 2017 · I am the original owner of 1983 h34 with a yanmar 3gmf freshwater cooled engine. I have done all regular routine maintenance suggested by the owners manual oil, trans, belts, impeller and so on. Replaced normal ware and tear items of the years. Winterized engine every year with no issues, engine startup every time on the first time. Knock wood!

Jun 4, 2004 · I did this today using Prestone Super Flush. This is a tedious task, since it requires waiting for the engine to cool down twice. The flushed liquid came out rust colored. Amazingly, the treatment has seemed to work! Now with premixed Yanmar 50-50 antifreeze back in the engine, the temp stabilizes at about 80C even at 2600 RPM.
