Yané, born Suyan Higin, was a human female, from the planet Naboo, who worked in the service of the Royal House of Naboo for a time.

Suyan "Yané" Higin was a character in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. She was a handmaiden and bodyguard to Padmé Amidala during her reign as Quen Amidala. After the siege, Yane often volunteered to help Naboo's orphans, and after she left Amidala's service she devoted more of her time to that cause.

Jan 23, 2018 · It’s very difficult to spot Yané in the film, but you can get a fairly good look at her from this Battle of Naboo card from the Young Jedi Collectible Card Game. Yané also gets some love in the Young Readers book Queen in Disguise. Saché can be spotted in the screenshot below seated on the right.

She was the youngest of all the handmaidens and stayed on Naboo with Saché during the Trade Federation blockade as the Queen, Sabé, Eirtaé and Rabè fled the planet the help from the two Jedi, Qui-gon Jinn and Obi-wan Kenobi.
