Starting BrandMeister release 20190331-203539 has support of directly-connected IMRS repeaters (Yaesu DR2X). This allows direct communications between DMR talking groups and SystemFusion radio via IMRS repeater without using any additional hardware (unlike WIRES-X) and with audio quality 1:1.

Hopefully this brought light as to how the IMRS System works (as far as what we have found in testing.) We still haven't touched on integrating the WiresX node into the mix.

You can't use IMRS and Wires-X on the same repeater without a dedicated Wires-X simplex node connected to the repeater via RF. It's all very inflexible and requires way too much equipment (large failure domain) in my opinion.
